Young people at the Summer 2007 residential

You, Me & The Climate (YOMAC) is a youth-leadership initiative supported by the National Trust, which empowers young people aged 16-19 to become leaders or “Climateers” on climate change and encourages them to take action in their local communities.

The summer residential is taking place 27th July-1st August on the Trust's Gibside Estate near Newcastle.

The week will build upon the skills the Climateers have gained so far and will include new workshops on media relations, dealing with local government and updates on climate change policy. On the final day the Climateers will be set a climate-themed challenge to take place on the property, designed to engage visitors - no doubt in the usual fun and quirky YOMAC style!

We will be updating the site with news, photo's and video on location at Gibside so keep an eye on the site.
