High Tide: Young People Hold Climate Conference
In a National Trust supported project, young people aged 16-19 and influential decision-makers will hold a Seaside Summit on tackling climate change beside the Thames in central London. The lunchtime summit will be held at low tide drawing attention to the threat posed by rising sea levels and the lack of action on global warming.
Climateers Talk Green at NGOs and Media Outlets
After an early start it was straight off to the first of our visits. Being the fourth day it was one of the busiest, so a coach was hired. After being given a tour of the sites on the way by the bus driver, we arrived outside ITV. Although slightly early, once inside we were introduced to Jack Cunningham who was the Environmental manager. After an interesting discussion on the highs and lows of working at ITV, a Q&A was started up.

27 delegates have begun their first day ‘doorstepping the media’ with their ‘Climate Log Reports’ to learn how to be an effective campaign group in tackling the effects of rising greenhouse gas emissions in their local communities.
